Fleeting Moments
Meeniyan Art Gallery

November - December 2019

The fleeting moments of light in nature become signs and reminders in life of the connection to the spirit. The light, forms and movement of patterns found in the natural landscape, inspire my work. Figurative elements are sometimes combined to link a human connection to the mystery of nature’s forms and patterns.

Working between painting and drawing in my practice offers me a way to explore abstract elements with my gathered observations from life. The mystery in the undefined edges and atmospheric spaces combined with figurative layers, allow a freedom to move and explore in paint. The movement of brush marks and the immediacy felt in painting become as important to me as the subject.
