My work explores the connections between human form and the spaces we are within to express movement and spiritual currents.

Light, shadow, movement and patterns found in nature and the variations in the way these patterns change and form, inspire my work in drawing and painting through their energy and movement.

I embrace the intuitive and gestural marks in the creative process and find the spaces between representational figurative painting and abstraction growing within my practice. My working process moves between drawing and painting as a way to expand from my observations to find a freedom in painting. The movement of brush marks and the immediacy felt in painting become as important to me as the subject.
